Natural Systems
This Studio was focused on Natural Systems. I reseached the red onion by reading and experimenting with its properties. I studied and diagrammed the way they grow, shapes and patterns between layers, color changes from one layer to the next, dying properties of the red onion’s peels, etc. I created a prototype for a brand called Bulb, based around the idea of resuing community onion waste for dying of new clothing. The final product was a performance installation piece, designed to show the way onions grow.Exploration with onion dye properties
